Here, we introduce you to the regions where our holiday homes are located. You’ll find information about the history of each region, as well as its unique features and attractions.
In total, Sweden has 25 regions. These are historical provinces called landskap. These historical provinces are divided into 21 administrative units known as län. Confusion sometimes arises because not all län and landskap share the same names. For example, the region of Blekinge is both a län and a landskap, while the region of Småland includes three different län: Kronoberg County (Kronobergs län), Jönköping County (Jönköpings län), and Kalmar County (Kalmar län).
The provinces and län are further grouped into three major regions: Götaland includes the 10 southernmost provinces, Svealand forms the central part of Sweden, and Norrland comprises the northern and sparsely populated provinces.
At the moment, you can find holiday homes with us in the Swedish regions of Småland, Blekinge, Bohuslän, Skåne, Östergötland, Västergötland, Halland, Dalsland, Värmland, and Närke.
However, we also introduce you to regions where we currently do not offer holiday homes. Simply click on the image of a region to access more information.
